I went on a major “pie for breakfast” rant in the apple cinnamon muesli post. I stand by that. Apple pie oatmeal is a hot, happy, soothing breakfast. Despite this recipe being a bit out of season for June, it was still a great way to start my day. This recipe is super simple because it’s basically a deluxe oatmeal. Simmer oats, almond milk, chia seeds, apple sauce and cinnamon in a sauce pan until the oats and apples are tender.
